CITY HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT
Beit Aryeh was established in 1981 as a community for employees of Israel Aerospace Industries. It was named after Aryeh Ben-Eliezer, a former Knesset member and leader in the Herut movement. In 1989, Beit Aryeh was recognized as a local council, and in 2004, it merged with the neighboring community of Ofarim to form Beit Aryeh-Ofarim. The community is situated approximately 32 kilometers north of Jerusalem and 25 kilometers east of Tel Aviv.
