A Hidden Gem of Nature, Community, and Affordable Living—Why Every Family Should Know About Moshav Reihan

For years, Noa and Alon Moses dreamed of a home with a garden and an open view. Today, after moving to Moshav Reihan, they say the real dream that came true is the wonderful community, which makes life in Reihan so much happier. With a high-quality, secular-leaning population, breathtaking coastal views, and easy access to central Israel, Reihan is a real estate gem with unbeatable prices. We set out to uncover the moshav’s charm—and fell in love with its residents

How does it feel to live the dream of a private home with open views? Noa Moses, 40, a jewelry-making instructor, and Alon Moses, 43, a payroll accountant at the Ministry of Education, spent a decade living in Or Akiva before recently relocating to Moshav Reihan with their three children.

“When we bought our first apartment right after getting married, we always saw it as a temporary stop,” Noa shares. “We knew that our shared dream was to own a home with a private yard.” She adds, “The plan was to move when I turned 40—and that’s exactly what happened. The COVID-19 pandemic and a minor health scare pushed us to take the leap and start searching for a home.”

During their search, Noa and Alon explored several communities across Israel, with Reihan among their options. “Our main hesitation was the land’s status and a concern about security,” Noa admits. But when they visited the moshav for the first time, “we realized it’s in a safe area, with no security barriers on the way.”

After much deliberation, "what initially drew us in, even before meeting the people of Reihan, was the fresh air and the feeling of living within nature. We followed our gut instinct." Looking back, Noa reflects, "I can say that the people of Reihan turned out to be one of the biggest bonuses of our move. The sense of community here is something I’ve never experienced anywhere else."
