"We Came Here at Sunset for the First Time—A Few Months Later, We Bought a Home"

More than just the dream of a private home with a garden, Teneh Omarim is a community built on togetherness, embracing families who appreciate diversity and the beauty of nature. "We feel like we can live here freely and openly—just be ourselves"

Close your eyes and picture a home with a garden in a peaceful, breathtaking setting. A vibrant community that celebrates the diversity of Israeli society. A fifteen-minute drive to Highway 6, twenty minutes to Be’er Sheva, and a communal swimming pool with designated hours for separate swimming for those who prefer it. Welcome to Teneh Omarim—a place where families from the south can buy a private home in an inclusive and diverse community, at prices that may not come around again.

Right now, Harey Zahav is marketing a real estate project of 135 private homes in this growing community, which is opening its doors to more families who value a strong sense of togetherness.

Real estate experts in the south note that home prices in the area are rising, partly due to the construction of the IDF’s new Intelligence Corps base nearby. They emphasize that this may be a rare opportunity to purchase a home at an affordable price before values climb even further.

Yael and Nir Degani, who live in Teneh Omarim with their three children, discovered the community by chance and fell in love with it. "Eight years ago, we came to visit friends here," says Yael. "It was sunset, the view was stunning, and the people we met were so warm. A few months later, we bought a house. We found a unique mix of caring, family-oriented people. When you add the views, the tranquility, and the rural setting, it’s the perfect combination."

What do you think people don’t know about Teneh Omarim?

"The unique thing about Teneh is that it’s a mixed community—families from all different backgrounds live here. It’s a family-oriented place for people who value community life, but it’s not overly demanding. There’s plenty of room for privacy too. We feel like we can live freely, without constraints, and just be who we are."
