Teneh Omarim: A Growing Community Just Minutes from Be’er Sheva

Teneh Omarim is preparing for a new wave of residents as the picturesque town in the Yatir region expands.
Noa Yisrael-Tov, a midwife at Soroka Medical Center, moved to the community from Be’er Sheva with her husband, Shay. She describes a town built on diversity, cooperation, and mutual acceptance—values that have become increasingly essential in Israeli society.

"There is a high quality of life here, with the peacefulness of a rural setting and the diversity you’d expect to find in a city. Teneh Omarim is home to people of all ages and from all walks of Israeli society—secular and religious, spanning the full spectrum of observance—living together in an inclusive and connected community," says Noa.
She emphasizes that the town allows each resident to engage with the community at their own level. "People can choose to be involved in committees and local events, contributing their skills and talents, or focus more on personal and family life, depending on what suits them best."
Shai and Noa Israel are good. "The proximity to Highway 6 enables employment in the center"
Located just a 20-minute drive from Be’er Sheva, the town offers the perfect blend of rural tranquility and urban convenience. "Many residents work in Be’er Sheva, but not all. We’re also close to the Hebron Hills communities, and some people choose to commute to Jerusalem. Our proximity to Highway 6 makes employment opportunities in the center of the country a viable option as well," Noa explains, adding that easy access to the central region also makes it simpler to stay connected with family members who still live in the big cities.
